The Pegler PowerPress Coupling with Nut 1/2 Union 1/2 x 3/4 (C9446) is a union coupling designed for use with thick-walled carbon steel pipe systems. It provides a secure and serviceable connection point, making it ideal for installations where disassembly may be required, including heating, cooling, compressed air, gas, and sprinkler systems.

Union couplings should be combined with male threaded counterparts with appropriate sealing support, typically parallel (G) threads. The use of male conical (R) threads is not recommended, as they may not provide sufficient support for flat sealing surfaces.

By using the VSH PowerPress system, installation times are significantly reduced while maintaining a clean and efficient working environment. The DW profile press fitting design ensures consistent, high-quality connections across a complete system range from 1/2" to 2".

About the Pegler VSH PowerPress System

The Pegler VSH PowerPress system is a complete range of DW profile press fittings, valves, and accessories designed for thick-walled carbon steel pipes from 1/2" to 2". It enables full system installation across heating, cooling, compressed air, gas, and sprinkler applications.

Designed with double safety features, all fittings include the Leak Before Press (LBP) function and a Visu-Control ring, which provides immediate visual confirmation after pressing and helps identify unpressed connections during testing.

The system is manufactured from galvanised steel with a ZnNi coating for excellent corrosion resistance, and features a stainless steel grip ring for secure connections. It supports operating temperatures from -40°C to +135°C and pressures up to 16 bar.
